We loved Mountain Thyme Lodge! The most amazing view; right by the loch-side, surrounded by beautiful mountains, close to Ben Nevis, Loch Ness and the lovely Fort Augustus. This lodge was perfect for our needs, we have a very enthusiastic jack-russell, so the hardy door mats and leather couches were a bonus! We saw grouse walking down to the loch from our window and Ben Nevis from gondola ski-lifts. Breathtaking views, lovely meals and very friendly locals. Great place to stay all round! Ms O, Wakefield, West Yorkshire 26 February 2011
Very cosy and well thought out interior. Fantastic location by the loch side, ideal location for access to the glen Nevis, glen Shiel and Glencoe Monros and great value to boot. If you are a hill walker you will stuggle to find a better place to base yourself! Mr K, Havant, Hampshire 12 October 2010
Mountain thyme lodge has an excellent location, within easy reach of many popular locations. The lodge itself has very good facillities and furnishings. I would recommend to everyone. Mr M, Portsmouth 04 October 2010
Excellent standard of accommodation in a wonderful setting! Mr W, Leicester, Leicestershire 22 August 2010
Beautiful location at lake side. Easy access to nearby hotel, busy so reserve table for good food. Ideal location for touring in the west coast region of of Scotland. Mr. B, WATFORD 04 June 2010
An excellent lodge well furnished and in a good locations for wildlife and birds or just relaxing. Good for exploring NW Scotland, Skye a good day out, scenery breathtaking. Mrs C, Ipswich 28 September 2009
A fabulous base to explore the Great Glen - fantastic for 3 couples having 3 double/twin rooms rather than 2 and a sofabed in the lounge. There are lovely walks and boat hire within a couple of miles. Make sure you go over the amazing pass to the beautiful Glen Elg and catch the ferry over to Sky. The ferry is owned by the local community and is the only type of its kind still in use anywhere, (its only a tenner and all proceeds go to keeping this 150 odd year old service going). Book it or miss out! Mr C, Derby, 20 August 2009
Brillant Setting and Location. A real Get away from it all (Best enjoyed in good weather but a snowy winter break might be interesting) Better equipped lodge than expected, With owner very helpfull and only a phone call away. Mr W, CHICHESTER 16 August 2009
A well located cottage which was clean and well decorated. The Hotel in the grounds was a bonus with great meals and bar. The location was peaceful and awe inspiring. I have already recommended this cottage to my friends and cannot wait to book again. Miss S, DUMFRIES 05 June 2009

What a place to be on holiday! Excellent accommodation and surroundings. I would recommend this place to any person in the land! For any fishermen out there, this is the place to be - excellent!! Mr M, Airdrie, Lanarkshire 24 September 2007
Lovely cottage on the banks of the lovely Loch Lochy. The dogs loved it and the wife loved it - heaven! Mr M, London 16 June 2007
The accommodation was excellent, very relaxing, very quite and a most enjoyable holiday. The fishing points were excellent! Mr M, Airdrie, Lanarkshire 25 September 2006
Holidaying in this area was very good with a wide range of activities available i.e walking, Wildlife sanctuaries, Glen Nevis and the Ben itself. Loch Ness and Fort Augustus all offer a wide choice of things to do at a relatively cheap cost. Mrs T, Newbury, Berkshire 26 August 2006
